Hernán was very resourceful and flexible. He worked well with our family group, which ranged in age from eleven to 71. He did not push those of us on the upper and lower ends of the age spectrum, yet did not hesitate to accompany the 25-year-old member of our group on a very challenging hike at Machu Picchu. He was there with a remedy when one of the younger members of our party fell ill in a bus.

We spent four full days withy Hernán and by the end of this time, we felt he was as much a friend as a guide.”
