“This trek was of great value. All the staff was very competent and the guide has a wide knowledge of all aspects of the way of living in Peru nowadays and before, as well as of the fauna and the flora in the mountains. We had all the explanations we needed and that’s why we quoted him as excellent.”

“Everything went very smoothly, we were well informed of the specifics of the trip before it began. Everyone on our trip (guide, cooks, horsemen) was very kind, gracious and helpful.

This was not my first trip to Peru. All of the staff was exceptional, and I expected it would be that way because the Peruvian people are the warmest, most caring, lovely people I have encountered anywhere.”

“The Lares route is beautiful and free from hordes of tourists. The route is clean and extremely pristine. One of the attractions of the Lares route is visiting villages that maintain their cultural practices. The paradox is that the presence of the tourist and all the tourists who will follow is that they bring change – the influx of the hegemonic Western civilization.

Attempting to control and negociate this cultural change is the challenge of Eco-tourism. Perhaps giving the villagers control over certain aspects of the tour would help the very difficult situation.”

“TOUR REPORT:

Guide: Gary was good humoured and was always enthusiastic and encouraging. His patience and energy were very much appreciated! His familiarity with the area and the people made the trip unique and gave us an insight into the traditional lives the Andean people led.

Service: The horsemen were friendly and efficient. It was a great relief to arrive at our campsite with the tents pitched and the cups of tea ready!!

Equipment: tents were in very good condition and mattresses were comfortable. Nice and clean.

Food: Great! Maybe too much!! The presentation and service was fantastic. Good variety.

Global expectations: The scenery made it a trip far above our original expectations. It is something we will keep with us for years to come.

We would LOVE to see the photos. Please email us!
Thanks so much!!”

Ayahuasca Therapy Sessions

“I did the Ayahuasca ceremony with Kush, I had done it twice before and come to the conclusion I didn’t really need it but had nagging doubts that maybe I was missing something. So I decided to give it one more try. Kush is very knowledgeable and competent. I got what I came for. I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who is interested in trying Ayahuasca.”

Denis Walliser / Canada
Ayahuasca Therapy session
July 2003

“The therapy was very intense but released something I had been carrying for 30 years, namely fear and pain. Afterwards, I was completely calm and released. I felt I was reborn, especially when I finally vomited after 4 hours and all the suffering ended.”

Simon Shaw / UK
Ayahuasca Therapy session
July 2003

“This is not an easy experience, but it is a special one featuring: projective vomiting, massive shivering, visions of giants, thoughts of death, some excellent colors, and a level of self-knowledge that is at once scary and enlightening. And finally, peace. Ayahuasca is not necessarily fun but is strong and amazing – but people should know what they are getting in to when they take it.

Kush is a good man with great product, a broad knowledge of mythology + science; and he provides a comfortable, safe environment. I would recommend him.”

“Excellent trip. We thought our guide was the best. Not an easy trip, physically, but at a level appropriate for the Primary Amazon Jungle. We saw many animals, waded through clouds of mosquitoes and streams of mud, toughed it out through the rough parts and enjoyed it throughout.”
