However, anyone who has traveled much would know that reality doesn\u2019t stop while we\u2019re away at the beach or hiking in the Andes Mountains. There are certain elements we can\u2019t control while traveling \u2013 such as rainy days and lost luggage \u2013 but we can control our attitudes and how we handle the situation. The following are some handy tips for ways to stay positive when travel goes wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.\t<strong>Get plenty of sleep<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re all always in a better mood when we\u2019ve had a full night\u2019s sleep. When planning a trip, make sure you are not overbooking yourself every day. Be sure to schedule some rest time so that you can relax and simply enjoy where you are. Being well-rested will help you to keep a clear head if something goes wrong, so don\u2019t underestimate the value of a nap or a free afternoon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.\t<strong>Have realistic expectations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/assets\/img\/article_440_4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/article_440_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-643\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re traveling to a different country like Peru, you\u2019re likely to encounter the cultural differences that give travel its charm as well as its challenge. While the phrase \u201ceat your feelings\u201d may come to mind, just remember that you\u2019re on vacation so you\u2019re allowed to treat yourself anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When traveling in Peru \u2013 the gastronomic capital of South America \u2013 you can\u2019t go wrong when it comes to comfort food. On top of that, with chocolate cake,&nbsp;<em>manjar blanco<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>picarones<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>mazzamorra<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>pionono<\/em>, there are plenty of dessert options to soothe any panging sweet tooth and put you in an instantly better mood. Moreover, Lima is known for its many world-class restaurants.
