However, between the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/en\/blog\/416\/10-top-museums-in-peru\">many interesting museums<\/a>&nbsp;and cultural sites in the city, it may be hard to keep the children engaged on the trip. At Enigma, we understand the challenges of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/en\/blog\/396\/6-tips-for-traveling-with-children\">traveling with children<\/a>, but we also know that having your kids along for the ride can make for an unforgettable family experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make sure everyone has a good time in Peru\u2019s capital, we\u2019d like to introduce you to some of the most kid-friendly activities in Lima that adults will enjoy too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Magic Water Circuit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/assets\/img\/article_429_6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Lima-for-the-Kids-.jpg\" alt=\"Lima for the Kids \" class=\"wp-image-692\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2017&nbsp;<em>El Circuito M\u00e1gico del Agua<\/em>&nbsp;(The Magic Water Circuit) opened in&nbsp;<em>Parque de la Reserva<\/em>&nbsp;and currently holds the record for the largest fountain complex in the world. In total, there are 13 separate fountains and many of them are interactive. A visit to the Magic Water Circuit is perfect for a hot summer day in Lima because the kids can run through the fountains to cool off. At night, the fountains are illuminated, many with changing color schemes. There is even a colorful laser light program that celebrates Peru\u2019s history and unique culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Choco Museum<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are traveling with children, they are sure to love a visit to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chocomuseo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Choco Museum<\/a>. This interactive chocolate and cacao museum is free to the public and also offers a number of hands-on chocolate workshops. Even though Peru isn\u2019t known globally for its chocolate, it is one of the most important exporters of cacao. At the chocolate museum, kids and adults can learn about how cacao is grown, harvested and the materials and processes that are necessary to turn it into chocolate. It is also a great opportunity to sample delicious Peruvian chocolates and take home a sweet souvenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/assets\/img\/article_429_7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enigmaperu.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Lima-for-the-Kids-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-693\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bike Tours of Lima<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If your kids need to burn off some energy, a bike tour is the perfect afternoon activity. Cycling through Lima is a great way to help your kids stay engaged while still seeing the sights. In Lima, there are many bike paths that run along the malec\u00f3n, around Miraflores, Barranco, San Isidro and even into Lima Central. Miraflores is like an outdoor museum with plenty of interesting statues and sights along the ocean cliffs. There are many parks and green spaces along the malec\u00f3n where you can go with your family, pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the calming views of the Pacific Ocean. Show your children the lighthouse or visit&nbsp;<em>Parque del Amor<\/em>&nbsp;in Miraflores.
