Everywhere we look on Social Media sites such as Instagram and Pinterest, we are seeing images of Peruvian rugs, textiles, tassels, llama toys, more. And we are loving it!

Give your home a peruvian touch

Considering the abundance of options out there, we have compiled a list of our top decoration items that will surely add a Peruvian touch to your home.

1. Frazada (Rugs & Blankets)

Can’t make the trip to the markets in Cusco or the Sacred Valley? No problem! Bring a bit of the Andes to your home by ordering a Peruvian frazada online on sites such as El Hummingbird. A frazada can be used as a rug, blanket or bed throw and is a home decor trend that we love.

2. Tassels

Peruvian-made tassels are a fun way to add a pop of color to your home. We love the idea of hanging them on a wall or using them as curtain tiebacks, and not only are they super affordable, they make a huge impact wherever you decide to hang them! You can easily order them online on sites such as Gunn and Swain.

3. Alpaca Pillow or Plush Toy

Give your home a peruvian touch

Stuffed alpaca pillows or plush toys can become your child’s newest companions. They can be used for decoration or be the perfect ´huggable seating´. The Etsy shop HolaVicu for example offers 3 pillow sizes, depending on the age of your child; baby, mama, and papa Vicu. How adorable!

4. Plant Pots & Planters

What better way to decorate your home than with beautiful llama plant pots! Planters made from ceramic earthenware are a fun way to work some greenery, such as trailing plants and clustered succulents, into your space. We found one of our favorite planters on West Elm – it comes in two sizes and is perfect for indoor use.

5. Peru-Themed Posters

Peruvian-themed posters are always a fun way to add a colorful touch to any room in your home. There are posters in a variety of styles and sizes, but some of our favorites we found on Etsy. There really is something for everyone; fun vintage posters from the 1950s, contemporary prints, travel-themed posters, old airline advertisements or posters with Machu Picchu.

6. Shower Curtain

Give your home a peruvian touch

Or what about a fun llama shower curtain? We especially love the vibrant shower curtain featuring a unique and colourful llama motif by Urban Outfitters and Society6. What a great way to brighten up your bathroom and add a touch of boho charm.

7. Nursery Mobile

Your baby’s nursery isn’t complete without a mobile hanging above the crib. And what better way to incorporate a unique detail than by adding a Peruvian-themed mobile. They make lovely room accents and are guaranteed to entertain your little one. Some online shops even offer the option to request your preferred color palette if their item doesn’t match your nursery. Some of our favorite mobiles are made by Boho Baby Heaven as they offer a variety of colors and different options.

Whether you are decorating your first home or your fifth, great design is in the details. Take cues for your own home from these picture-perfect decoration items and give your home a little Peruvian touch. And make sure to follow Enigma Peru on Pinterest for more home deco inspiration and ideas.
