Running beneath the sacred Salkantay Mountain, one of the Peruvian Andes’ highest and most majestic sights at 6,273 masl (20,575 ft), our selected routes cross impressive mountain passes, pass through indigenous Quechua communities and lesser-known Inca ruins to finally reach the town of Aguas Calientes, just below the iconic Inca city of Machu Picchu.
A well-known alternative to the Inca Trail and a great combination of high-mountain mighty scenery, jaw-dropping landscapes, smaller ruins, community life and the grand finale of ending in Machupicchu.
