At Enigma we love bringing travellers to Peru, but we also recognize that the environment, culture and communities in which we operate are extremely fragile and sensitive to impact. With the privilege of sharing some of the country’s most untouched beauty comes a deep-held responsibility to be sensitive, respectful and highly conscious. We aim at having a minimal negative impact on the environment, culture and society we operate in, and ideally, a lasting overall positive effect. Rather than just “giving something back”, we believe in “not taking away from” in the first place.
Our will is to inspire a higher level of consciousness amongst all those we interact with: travellers, clients and supply chain, while also getting inspired by industry peers and initiatives worldwide.
In our commitment to communities and the cultural and natural environment that surrounds us, our strategy has been to integrate both responsibility and sustainability as key elements in our corporate philosophy, developing aligned policies, guidelines and action plans that unfold across all areas and with all participants of our organization, and sharing them with our stakeholders.
To ensure this, our R&S strategy has been created with FOUR main points of focus:
